Frequently Asked Questions

The Purpose of Your Podcast

  • As we move further into an Ai powered world, standing out from the crowd becomes increasingly difficult, as the crowd churns out more & more good quality content.

What differentiates you is YOUR approach, YOUR opinion, and the care YOU have for your clients. A podcast is the easiest way to share this, in a format that is easy to amplify, using the scale of Ai, across multiple platforms.

From chatting with a colleague, friend, peer, customer, or leader in your industry, twice a month for 30 minutes, we can generate a wealth of content that specifically reflects you and your ideas.

A podcast is the easiest way to continue the conversation as an Amplified Expert.

  • In the 2000’s most of us were introduced to the idea of ‘Vanity Metrics’, those numbers, YouTube Subscribers, or Likes, that mean very little in terms of numbers. The same is true for podcast listeners

The unspoken secret of podcasting for business owners is the important part is having a podcast that can support other marketing activities.

Regardless of who listens, a podcast allows you to:

    • Regularly email your list to share the latest episode and giving people a simple next step.

    • Showcase past clients to share their success and their experience working with you.

    • Share key episodes as a conversation starter on LinkedIn outreach. Giving value to begin, rather than asking for something.

    • Have the ultimate door-opener to prospects or peers that might otherwise be hard to contact. Inviting them to be a guest on your show is the ultimate introduction.

    • Gain access to a wider, complimentary audience by highlighting your guest and giving them all the tools to promote the show to their audience.

  • People buy from those they Know, Like, and Trust… A podcast is the source of an almost endless supply of content.

In addition to the actual episode and all the production for that, for every episode we’ll create a wealth of content for you. We can even post some of it on your behalf. From each episode we can create:

    • Release email to send to your list

    • Promotion email to send later (multiple times)

    • Guest email to help your guest share the show

    • Episode art for social media

    • LinkedIn release post

    • Pull quotes created as social media posts

    • Audiograms clipped for social media

    • Video clips for shorts, reels (if recording video)

    • LinkedIn carousel posts to capture the current appetite for this specific format

Getting Started

  • We want to make the process as easy as possible for you, so you have the choice of using our systems to record (in which case we’ll automatically be notified), or record using any other system and uploading the files.

Using our systems, we have audio only or video.

If you’re using your own system, anything is fine. All we need is the file. So this includes Zoom, Meet, conference calls, or even in person.

If you use your own system, aim for the best possible quality (e.g speak relatively close to the mic, minimize background noise etc). Our tools do a great job at cleaning the audio, but there’s a limit to any tool ;)

  • Yes, you’re billed when the shows are released, so you can record in batches and release these every month as part of the monthly plan, or as additional show and you’ll just be billed for the ones that release that month.

We want to make it as easy as possible, so you only thing you have to do is chat to great guests.

  • No. We want having your own show to be as easy as being a guest on ours. All you need do is focus on having a great interview.

As a minimum we suggest an external microphone as built in computer microphones are notoriously echoey.

If you want to dive into more technical options, we can make lots of suggestions during the onboarding or office hours / AMA calls.

  • You should record whenever is the most convenient for you. This is something you are adding to your routine, so it’s often easier to schedule a time on your calendar, and then co-ordinate guest to fill the spots.

Once you become more comfortable with the simple process, you’ll be able to record with little notice as the opportunities arise.

How often should I release episodes?

This is actually the more important question.

Consistency is key to this, just as it is for most things. Every other week is the perfect schedule to start with. It’s a manageable schedule, and creates plenty of content and opportunities for you to keep in touch with your list.

Once you’re in your stride, you can easily increase to weekly releases, which can still all be recorded in one day.

  • Yes - As long as it’s convenient.

Having helped produce podcasts for over 10 years, my answer to this always used to be no. It’s a complicated distraction, with limited upside for most business owners. Today however, it’s a resounding yes.

The change is for 2 main reasons. First, in the last few years everyone has become far more comfortable with Zoom & similar tools, so the mental and technical overheads to capturing video are far below what they used to be. Second, there are now significantly more tools to amplify your message and having the source in video rather than just audio gives even more opportunities.

Our systems are set up to either use our video tool, or use your own and share the file with us.

Remember, don't let the tools be a distraction. Recording a Zoom call, with external mic’s and a plain background is the perfect way to start. You don't need a purpose built studio!

Amplifying Your Expertises

  • Absolutely.

We blend the latest Ai tools along with regular tools, and our unique process and people to give you the best Actual Intelligence!

This is what allows us to amplify 30-45 minutes of your time recording the podcast, into many different assets you can use across many different platforms.

  • It can, but if you have existing people or processes in place, the content we create together here can be the rocket fuel the takes your marketing to the next level.

If you’re currently struggling to create content to stay in touch with people, your podcast is the answer to your problem as we create and in some cases post content to keep you in front of potential clients.

In either situation, this is your unique voice, approach, and solutions that are being amplified. Not the same old generic Ai prompted content others are posting.

  • Absolutely!

At the end of the day we are a marketing company & see the product of your podcast as the conversation you have with potential clients.

We’re here to help your show be a tool in your overall marketing approach.

Billing

  • Your podcast plan is $1,000 a month.

This includes everything to release your episode and create the emails and social media posts.

Additional episodes are $333, so that means you are free to record what you want when you want, without worrying about plan limits.

  • You’re billed at the start of the following month for episodes that have been released.

That means you can record and submit episodes whenever is convenient rather than worrying about when you have to pay for them.

If you suddenly get the opportunity to record with a great guest, but you already have a show releasing, don’t worry. record now & release next month as part of your normal plan.

If you have chance to record now, but want to release the additional show next month, don't worry we’ll bill you then.

  • The monthly plan doesn't ‘roll over’ as show credits, however if scheduling means you’re a few days late, don't worry, just contact us as the show is submitted & ask for it to be considered as the previous show (and not billed as an additional show for the following month).

Having said that, consistency is key, so if possible, record a show or two ahead of schedule to acomodate schedule changes, or guests not being able to make it.

Cancelling

  • Yes. If you need to go on hiatus for a period we can put the show on hold and reduce the monthly fee to $250pm.

This keeps everything in place so all the links out in the world keep working.

We’ll do this for up to 3 months.

  • You can cancel at any time. As we bill for episodes once they are live (in arrears), there may be a final bill to cover episodes from the last month.

  • When you cancel we’ll keep the show up and running for 21 days to give you time to transfer items.

Where possible, we’ll assign the podcast assets to you. This includes things like updating the ‘owner’ email address in podcast feeds, transferring the podcast hosting account and any domains we manage to you, and removing ourselves from any services you’re assigned us to.

Alternatively you are free to migrate the show to another service. The extent of our support here is acknowledging requests in a timely manner.

The only thing we may not be able to move is for example, images/videos stored in our shared hosting. In this circumstance, you are free to download and rehost these assets.

The important thing is you own the content, but you may have technical overhead when moving.
